Professor researching gender, management, organisations, and Japan
Kumiko Nemoto is a professor of management in the School of Business Administration at Senshu University in Tokyo. Her research focuses on gender, management, and organisations. She completed her PhD in sociology at the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to her appointments in Japan, she taught as a tenured associate professor of sociology at Western Kentucky University. She's the author of Too Few Women at the Top: The Persistence of Inequality in Japan and provides invited comments for the media on gender and Japanese companies.
