Sexual wellness company Smile Makers has launched its first suction vibrator called ‘The Poet’. The toy, which retails at £119.95, mimics the feeling of oral sex by using air pulse technology to stimulates the clitoris. It's designed for all types of clitorises and comes in three different mouth sizes to enable personalisation and ensure maximum comfort. “Clitorises come in different shapes and sizes and how it impacts our pleasure is not something we are educated on,” says Cécile Gasnault, Smile Makers brand director. “By creating a product that acknowledges and caters for that fact, we also wanted to normalise that fact and invite people with clitorises to celebrate the uniqueness of their anatomy,”

Studies find that 48% of people with them are concerned about the appearance of their vulva. Mostly worried about the size (64%), shape (60%), and colour (30%). In addition to this 32% say they have been made to feel as though their vaginas and vulvas aren't normal and 72% compare them to others, with many referencing porn as a standard. Brands in this space can encourage women to learn and explore their own bodies by equipping them with the tools to do so.
