Depop and Samsung have partnered to launch 'What to Flex', which aims to help Depop sellers and creators 'show off individual styles centered around seasonal and cultural moments’. Bringing in a dedicated space where top sellers can share their tips and tricks, the collaboration taps into the growing trend of side hustles and entrepreneurship. Image quality is also a key focus with Depop sellers showing how the Samsung Galaxy phone range can help boost their content with its hands-free capture capability without sacrificing crisp high-quality footage. "This is revolutionary for my small business. I don't have to ask friends to take my picture,” says @angelmoret, one of Depop’s top influencers and creatives.
With the pandemic shifting the way people view their careers and giving them time to pause and reconsider what they value in life, many are turning to passion projects to give them a sense of purpose. Indeed, one in three Americans (34%) claims to have a side hustle and 31% say they started their side hustle during the pandemic. But projects go beyond passion as 46% say the prospect of passive income is what motivated them to create a side project. With an increase in young entrepreneurs, there's an opportunity for brands to support self-starters and equip them with the tools they need to turn their passions into real career growth.
