Why are American Latinos moving away from Catholicism?

Traditionally followers of Catholicism, Latin Americans in the US are increasingly embracing Protestantism and agnosticism. What does this move away from a longstanding religious affiliation reveal about their social and political values in 2022? And how might this public impact outreach efforts?
