From automated labour to AI: how is new tech changing South Koreans' daily lives?

South Korea’s rapidly aging population and many people’s refusal to return to on-site work are affecting the domestic job market. How will one of the most innovative countries in the world use the latest technological advancements to navigate these post-pandemic challenges?

Dr Hwang Jong-Sung

Dr Hwang Jong-Sung is a lead researcher at South Korea’s National Information Society Agency, leading research on data and AI national strategies, smart cities, and future government. He served as a master planner of Busan EDC National Pilot Smart City from 2018 to 2021. Dr Hwang holds a doctoral degree in political science from Yonsei University.

Alex is the vice president of Comma Entertainment, an international advertising agency based in South Korea. He has operated marketing campaigns for global brands such as Samsung Display, Jagermeister, HiteJinro, Lotte Chilsung, and NVIDIA.
