Dr Rachel Katz is an internationally respected digital sociologist and UX research consultant whose research explores how new technologies impact everyday social relationships online and offline. Her expertise is in the unexpected social outcomes of dating apps like Tinder, Grindr, and Bumble for public health and tourism. Her work has been covered internationally on TV and the news by the BBC, The Sunday Times, The Guardian, Canal Futura (Brazil), and more. An award-winning teacher and public speaker, she has a PhD in sociology from the University of Manchester, a master's from the University of Cambridge, and a BA from Columbia University.
