Lidl labels tackle stigma of buying nearly-expired food

Lidl Germany is introducing a strategy to reduce food waste by telling customers their nearly-expired food is half-price and ‘still good’. By reducing the stigma around buying ‘bargain bucket’ items, the chain may help to change perceptions of buying food close to its sell-by date.
