Honesty is important in any relationship, yet many people hide financial decisions from their partners. Canvas8 spoke to Hristina Nikolova, the Coughlin Sesquicentennial Assistant Professor of Marketing at Boston College, to understand how financial infidelity impacts relationships and brands.

Hristina Nikolova

Dr. Hristina Nikolova is the Coughlin Sesquicentennial Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Carroll School of Management, Boston College. Her research focuses on joint decision-making, interpersonal relationships and social influence, consumers’ self-control, and interventions to promote healthy choices. Dr. Nikolova’s pioneering, award-winning research on joint decision-making has been published in the Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Psychology, Journal of Retailing, and Review of Marketing Research, and featured in Time, Forbes, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and ABC News, among others.
