Ron Robinson

One of the world’s leading cosmetic chemists, Ron Robinson set his goal as part of BeautyStat Cosmetics to develop a revolutionary new technology to stabilise active ingredients such as pure vitamin C in his products. He has over 20 years of experience in the beauty industry, working with the likes of Clinique, L’Oréal, Avon, and Hailey Bieber’s Rhode.

Yong-Chin Breslin

Yong-Chin Breslin is a fashion design graduate and self-taught make-up artist working within the fashion, music, and queer industries. She won season four of BBC's Glow Up: Britain's Next Make-Up Star, is a Scottish Bafta nominee for on-screen performance and creative talent, and has a keen interest in the future of beauty and identity.

Manessa Lormejuste

Manessa Lormejuste is an experienced beauty scientist and product developer who has worked for leading brands such as L’Oréal, Johnson & Johnson, and Beautycounter. A self-proclaimed #girlynerd, her path to this career was derived from a life-long passion for beauty and an academic adeptness for the sciences. She graduated from Rutgers University with a bachelor's degree in chemistry and a master's in personal care science.

Rebecca Smith

Rebecca Smith is the Head of Toolkit at Canvas8. With a background in psychology, she has worked with global clients such as Google, Nike, and Mars, exploring everything from what people want from a fake tan to Gen Z’s relationship with social media. Outside of work, you’ll find her binge-watching reality TV, listening to hyperpop, or with her nose buried in a fantasy novel.

Alex Strang

Alex Strang is a senior insight editor at Canvas8 who used to be in a punk band that was signed, shaped, and spat out. He enjoys using his experience of being the product to help brands understand how to sell theirs. After studying philosophy and critical theory, he found his feet in the market research world and has been over-analysing consumer behaviour ever since, including his own. He can usually be found playing board games, watching Seinfeld, or trying too hard to make his daughter laugh.
