Younger workers have gained a reputation for their disillusionment with work and the traditional structures that govern it. But what factors underlie these sentiments, and what do they mean for employers and workers alike? Canvas8 spoke to Dr Jared Scruggs about his research into the development and impacts of anti-work orientation.
Jared P. Scruggs received his PhD in Management from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and is currently a postdoctoral fellow at Goizueta Business School, Emory University. His first chapter on anti-work won the Academy of Management’s 2023 William H. Newman Award for best paper based on a dissertation.
